Evan L. Weston

Board Member Profile

Evan L. Weston is a principal of Northern Capital Management in Madison, Wisconsin. Mr. Weston is a senior member of the Account Management Group and is directly responsible for Taft Hartley, Public and Corporate business development. He has 35 years of investment management experience assisting clients in the establishment of objectives and performance benchmarks. He interacts with the Investment Management Group to ensure client portfolios are specifically tailored to meet those objectives.

Mr. Weston has specialized in two major institutional asset classes. From 1971 until 1989, he served as an investment professional in the institutional real estate groups of The New England Teamsters Pension Fund, Heller Financial and Trust Company of the West. He also worked in the institutional securities business in senior marketing roles for Putnam Institutional Investors and Oppenheimer Capital before coming to Northern Capital.

Mr. Weston is a graduate of Tufts University in Boston and served as an Officer with the Navy/Marine Corps in Vietnam.

Mr. Weston’s interests involve charitable fund raising and outreach, dog training, bicycle racing, boating and golf. In addition to the Stone Soup Institute board, currently he is on the Boards of Directors of Guide Dogs of America and Clothes for Kids. He is a former Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and a member of the Investment Committee and frequent speaker at the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and Union/Management organizations all around the United States.

He resides in Harpswell, Maine with his wife, Ronnie. They have five children and six grandchildren.
