The educational experience of Stone Soup Institute is
designed around the practical skills and seasonal rhythms
associated with maintaining a small farm in the 21st
Century.
Participants learn to integrate classroom theory with
hands-on skills using the farm as a laboratory experience.
Subjects covered include animal husbandry, wood lot management, farming, textile arts, fine arts and crafts. An important
part of the Stone Soup Institute experience includes learning
how interdependent practical and community skills are to
the sustainable farm.
